Muttathu Varkey Award (Puraskaram) – Winners

Muttathu Varkey Award (Puraskaram) is an award for the contributions to the field of Malayalam literature is instituted in memory of novelist Muttathu Varkey by the Muthattu Varkey Foundation. The Muttathu Varkey Puraskaram was instituted in 1992.

The Muttathu Varkey awards are usually announced on the birth anniversary of Varkey, 28 April and presented on the date of death anniversary of Varkey 28 May every year. The award carries a purse of ₹50000, a citation, and a statuette.

O. V. Vijayan was an Indian author and cartoonist, worn the first Muttathu Varkey award in 1992.
