The Kerala Public Service Commission (KPSC) has announced that they are inviting applications for the post of Fitter (By Transfer) in Kerala Water Authority exam on under category no 052/2026. Candidates who are interested in working as an Fitter (By Transfer) in the state of Kerala with a pay scale of ₹25,800-59,300/-, can now apply for the exam through the official KPSC website. The last date of application will be 05-08-2026.

Direct Recruitment from in-service personnel in lower categories of Kerala Water Authority

Age Limit

18-50; Only candidates born between 02.01.1976 and 01.01.2008 (both dates included) are eligible. No further relaxation is admissible.

Qualifications

Pass in SSLC or its equivalent
National Trade Certificate awarded by the National Council for Vocational Training in the trade of Fitter after completion of a 2-year course, or its equivalent

Notes

This notification is only for in-service personnel working in the lower categories of Kerala Water Authority.
Candidates must have completed not less than three years of service in a lower category of Kerala Water Authority under G.O.(P) No.1/2023/WRD dated 27.01.2023 or under the Kerala Water Authority (Administrative, Ministerial and Last Grade) Service Rules, 2011.
In the absence of qualified candidates, the remaining vacancies will be filled from the Ranked List prepared for direct recruitment to the post.
Reservation under Rules 14 to 17 of Part II of KS&SSR is not applicable.
National Apprenticeship Certificate holders will be given preference over National Trade Certificate holders, subject to the conditions specified in the notification.
Rule 10(a)(ii) of Part II of KS&SSR is applicable.
Equivalent qualifications recognized by Executive Orders or Standing Orders of Government, and higher qualifications that presuppose the prescribed lower qualification, will also be accepted subject to the conditions specified.
Candidates must obtain a Service Certificate in the prescribed format from the Head of Office/Department and produce the original when required by the Commission.
Probation will be as prescribed under the Special Rules of the Kerala Water Authority.
No application fee is required.
The Ranked List will remain in force for a minimum of one year and a maximum of three years, subject to the conditions specified in the notification.
