The Kerala Public Service Commission (KPSC) has announced that they are inviting applications for the post of Workshop Instructor / Instructor Gr.II / Demonstrator / Draftsman Gr.II in Mechanical Engineering in Technical Education exam on 30-12-2022 under category no 676/2022. Note: I (a) The above vacancies are now in existence. The Ranked list of selected candidates
published by the Commission in response to this notification shall remain in force for a minimum
period of one year, provided that the said list will continue to be in force till the publication of a new
list after the expiry of the minimum period of one year, or till the expiry of three years whichever is
earlier. Candidates will be advised from the said list against the above mentioned vacancies and also
against the vacancies that may be reported to the Commission during the period of currency of the
ranked list.
(b)Three percentage (3%) of the vacancies are reserved for Differently Abled candidates with
Locomotor Disability / Cerebral Palsy, Hearing Impairment and Low Vision vide GO(P) No.
1/13/SJD dated 03.01.2013 and GO(P) No. 20/2018 SJD dated 26.11.2018 as noted below:-

Age Limit

18-36. Only candidates born between 02.01.1986 and 01.01.2004
(both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post. Other
backward Communities and SC/ST candidates are eligible for usual
age relaxation. (For other conditions regarding age relaxation please
see Para 2 of Part II General Conditions of the Gazette notification.)
Age relaxation will be allowed for Officers of Technical Education
Department to the extent of their service in the Department, subject
to a maximum period of 10 years over and above the relaxation in
age, if any, allowed under general rules. In such cases the maximum
age shall not exceed 50 years as on 01.01.2022.

Qualifications

Diploma in the appropriate branch of Engineering / Technology
awarded by a University / Government after undergoing regular
course of study for not less than three years or its equivalent.

Note I:
(a) Rule 10(a) (ii) of Part II of KS &SSR is applicable.
(b) In addition to the qualifications prescribed in the notification,
the qualifications recognized by executive orders, or standing
orders of the Government as equivalent to the qualification
specified for the post, in the Special Rules or qualifications found
acceptable by the Commission since acceptance of equivalent
qualification is provided for in the Rules and such of those
qualifications which pre-suppose the acquisition of the lower
qualification prescribed for the post, shall also be sufficient for the
post. The copy of the Government orders declaring
equivalent/higher qualifications shall be produced as and when
required by the Commission.
