Method of appointment	By Direct Recruitment from qualified Executive Staff working in the Prisons and Correctional Services department who are approved probationers in any post in the department.
Age Limit	18-36. Only candidates born between 02.01.1989 and 01.01.2007 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post with usual relaxation to SC/ST and other Backward communities.
Qualifications	Bachelor Degree of a recognized University Physical Standards: Height – minimum 165 cms (160 cms for SC/ST); Chest – 81.3 cms with minimum 5 cm expansion Visual Standards: Distant vision 6/6 Snellen, Near vision 0.5 Snellen for both eyes without glasses
Notes	KS & SSR Rule 10(a)(ii) Part II is applicable. Equivalent/higher qualifications recognized by Government orders will be considered. Principles of rules of reservation and rotation prescribed in rule 14 to 17 of Part II of the KS & SSR 1957 will not apply for this post. Candidates must qualify in at least 5 out of 8 items in the Physical Efficiency Test.
