The Kerala Public Service Commission (KPSC) has announced that they are inviting applications for the post of Assistant Professor in Nursing in Medical Education exam on under category no 693/2025. Candidates who are interested in working as an Assistant Professor in Nursing in the state of Kerala with a pay scale of As per UGC norms, can now apply for the exam through the official KPSC website. The last date of application will be 04-02-2026.

Appointment by transfer from qualified Nursing Superintendents/Sister Tutors/Head Nurses/Staff Nurse of the College of Nursing or Health Services Department

Qualifications

M.Sc. Degree in Nursing from any University recognized by Kerala Nursing Council or Indian Nursing Council
Permanent Registration with the Nursing Council; candidates not registered with Kerala Nursing Council are also eligible provided they obtain registration from Kerala Nursing Council before appointment
Inservice candidates having at least one year’s active service alone will be eligible for appointment by transfer

Notes

In the absence of qualified hands for appointment by transfer, those vacancies shall also be filled up by direct recruitment.
Rule of Reservation and Rotation (Rules 14 to 17 of KS & SSR) shall not be applicable in the case of appointment by transfer.
KS & SSR Part II Rule 10(a)(ii) is applicable.
Equivalent/higher qualifications recognized by Government orders will also be considered.
Applicants must produce a service certificate from the Head of Office/Department to prove length of service in the respective cadre when required.
