The Kerala Public Service Commission (KPSC) has announced that they are inviting applications for the post of Assistant Public Prosecutor Grade - II in The Kerala State Prosecution Service exam on 30-12-2022 under category no 659/2022. Candidates who are interested in working as an Assistant Public Prosecutor Grade - II in the state of Kerala with a pay scale of ₹ 56500 - 118100 /-, can now apply for the exam through the official KPSC website. The last date of application will be 01-02-2023.

Anticipated vacancies
The Ranked list of selected Candidates published by the Commission in response
to this notification shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year
provided that the said list will continue to be in force till the publication of a new
list after the expiry of the minimum period of one year or till the expiry of three
years whichever is earlier.
Note: 4% of the total vacancies reported for the post shall be reserved for eligible
Differently Abled candidates with disabilities as specified vide GO(P) No.
7/2022/SJD dated 28.10.2022.

Age Limit

22 – 36 Only candidates born between 02.01.1986 and 01.01.2000
(both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post. Usual relaxation
in the upper age limit shall be allowed to candidates belonging to
Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe and Other Backward classes (For
other conditions regarding age relaxation, see para 2 of Part II General
Conditions of the Gazette Notification).

Qualifications

Qualifications :
i A Degree in Law conferred or recognized by the Universities in Kerala
and
ii Must be a member of the Bar and must have had not less than three years of active
practice in Criminal Courts as on 1st
January 2022
Note: (i) Certificate of Enrolment issued by the Bar Council &
Experience certificate of Three years active practice in
Criminal Courts as on 1st
January 2022, issued by a Judicial
Officer not below the rank of a First Class Judicial
Magistrate, should be produced.
(ii) KS&SSR Part – II Rule 10(a) (ii) is applicable.
(iii) In addition to the qualifications prescribed in this
notification, the qualifications recognized by executive
orders or standing orders of Government as equivalent to the
qualification specified for the post, in the Special Rules and
such of those qualifications that pre-suppose the acquisition
of the lower qualification prescribed for the post, shall also
be sufficient for the post. The copy of the Government
orders declaring equivalent / higher qualifications shall be
produced as and when required by the Commission.
(iv) The Degrees/Diplomas awarded by UGC approved
Universities or Institutions established through an act passed
by Parliament/State Legislative Assembly in accordance with
the conditions laid down in G.O (M.S) No.526/PD dated
17.07.1965 are acceptable for appointment in Government
Services.
