The Kerala Public Service Commission (KPSC) has announced that they are inviting applications for the post of Caretaker (Female) in Women and Child Development exam on 30-04-2025 under category no 45/2025. Candidates who are interested in working as an Caretaker (Female) in the state of Kerala with a pay scale of ₹ 27,900 – 63,700/-, can now apply for the exam through the official KPSC website. The last date of application will be 04-06-2025.

Age Limit

18-39. Only candidates born between 02.01.1986 and 01.01.2007 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post. (Including the relaxation as per para 2(i) of the General Conditions)

Qualifications

(1) PDC or Plus Two or equivalent and one year experience as a Caregiver in any of the child care institutions recognised by the Kerala State Orphanage Control Board under Social Justice Department.
(2) Should possess good physique.
(One year experience as Caretaker in any of the child care institutions recognised by the Social Justice Department / Women and Child Development Department will also be accepted)

Notes

Caretaker (Female) appointed by direct recruitment/promotion shall undergo an in-service training for a period of 3 months under the supervision and guidance of the Probation Officer of the District as per the programme determined by the Director of Social Justice.
The training period shall be treated as duty for all service benefits.
Every person appointed shall be on probation for a period of two years on duty within a continuous period of three years.
Experience certificates must be attested by the appropriate authority as per the notification.
Medical certificate from a Medical Officer not below the rank of Assistant Surgeon is required.
