The Kerala Public Service Commission (KPSC) has announced that they are inviting applications for the post of Fire and Rescue Officer (Driver) (Trainee) in Fire and Rescue Services exam on 30-10-2025 under category no 429/2025. Age Limit

18-29; Only candidates born between 02.01.1996 and 01.01.2007 (both dates included) are eligible, including age relaxation as per General Conditions para 2(i).

Qualifications

Must have passed Plus Two or its equivalent examination.
Must possess valid current Motor Driving License with endorsement for driving heavy goods vehicle or heavy passenger vehicle with badge.
Physical Qualifications: Height (without Footwear) 165 cms, Weight 50 kgs, Chest 81 cms, Chest Expansion 5 cms.
Visual Standards (without glasses): Distant vision 6/6 snellen, Near vision 0.5 snellen (Right and Left eye), Field of Vision Full.
Must qualify in the physical efficiency test of National One Star standard.

First NCA Notification for Latin Catholic / Anglo Indian community.
Rule 10(a)(ii) of Part II KS & SSR is applicable.
Preferential: Diploma in Computer Application.
Home Guard Volunteers with 3 years tenure and Fire Fighting training have preferential qualification.
Selected candidates must execute a bond of Rs 50,000 to serve for 7 years.
Training: 4 months in State Fire Service Training School.
