The Kerala Public Service Commission (KPSC) has announced that they are inviting applications for the post of Microbiologist (Bacteriologist) (By Transfer) in Kerala Water Authority exam on under category no 28/2026. Candidates who are interested in working as an Microbiologist (Bacteriologist) (By Transfer) in the state of Kerala with a pay scale of ₹ 36,500 - 89,000/-, can now apply for the exam through the official KPSC website. The last date of application will be 01-07-2026.

Age Limit

18-50; Only candidates born between 02.01.1976 and 01.01.2008 (both dates included) are eligible. No further age relaxation is admissible.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Science with Microbiology as the main subject from a UGC recognized University
Or equivalent qualification obtained from a National Institute established by the Central Government or an Institution established by the Government of Kerala

Notes

Applicants must be in-service personnel of Kerala Water Authority working in lower categories for not less than two years.
In the absence of qualified by-transfer candidates, vacancies will be filled from the ranked list prepared for Direct Recruitment.
Reservation under Rules 14 to 17 of Part II KS & SSR is not applicable.
Service Certificate in the prescribed format must be produced when required.
Rule 10(a)(ii) of Part II KS & SSR is applicable.
Equivalent and higher qualifications recognized by Government orders shall also be accepted.
Probation shall be as prescribed in the Special Rules of Kerala Water Authority.
