Nurse – Local Self Government – 289/2025

The Kerala Public Service Commission (KPSC) has announced that they are inviting applications for the post of Nurse in Local Self Government exam on 30-08-2025 under category no 289/2025. Candidates who are interested in working as an Nurse in the state of Kerala with a pay scale of ₹27,900 – 63,700/-, can now apply for the exam through the official KPSC website. The last date of application will be 03-10-2025.

Age Limit

18-36. Only candidates born between 02.01.1989 and 01.01.2007 (both dates included) are eligible. Other Backward Classes and SC/ST candidates are eligible for usual age relaxation. Maximum age limit shall in no case exceed 50 years.

Qualifications

S.S.L.C. or its equivalent.
One of the following nursing qualifications: (a) Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery Certificate (Revised Course) of 18 months duration issued by the Kerala Nurses and Midwives Council; OR (b) Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery Certificate (Revised Course) of 18 months duration issued by an authority recognized by the Indian Nursing Council; OR (c) Health Workers Training Certificate issued by the Kerala Nurses and Midwives Council.
Registration in the Kerala Nurses and Midwives Council.

Notes

Rule 10(a)(ii) of Part II KS & SSR is applicable for selection to this post.
4% of vacancies reserved for Differently Abled candidates vide GO(P) No 05/2024/SJD dated 07.02.2024.
Ranked List shall remain in force for a minimum of one year and a maximum of three years.
Selection will be made on a revenue district basis. Candidates appointed in one district are not eligible for transfer to another district unless they complete five years of continuous service.
Candidates already in Government service holding this post in any one district are prohibited from applying again for this post.
Equivalent/higher qualifications approved by Government executive orders or standing orders will also be considered.
