The Kerala Public Service Commission (KPSC) has announced that they are inviting applications for the post of Fire & Rescue Officer (Trainee) in Fire and Rescue Services exam on 15-10-2025 under category no 394/2025. Candidates who are interested in working as an Fire & Rescue Officer (Trainee) in the state of Kerala with a pay scale of ₹ 27,900 - 63,700/-, can now apply for the exam through the official KPSC website. The last date of application will be 19-11-2025.

Scheduled Caste Converts to Christianity (SCCC) – 01 (One)

Method of appointment

Direct recruitment (from candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste Converts to Christianity (SCCC) only)

Age Limit

18–29. Only candidates born between 02.01.1996 and 01.01.2007 (both dates included) are eligible to apply. For adult members of SC converted to Christian religion, the upper age limit is 31 years (born between 02.01.1994 & 01.01.2007).

Qualifications

Must have passed Plus Two or its equivalent Examination.
Physical Qualifications: Height (165 cms), Weight (50 Kgs), Chest (81 cms), Chest Expansion (5 cms).
Must have proficiency in swimming (50m in 2 minutes, 2 minutes floating ability).
Visual Standards (without glasses): Distant vision (6/6 Snellen), Near vision (0.5 Snellen).
Physical Efficiency Test: Must qualify in at least 5 out of 8 items (100m Run, High Jump, Long Jump, Shot Put, Cricket ball throw, Rope Climbing, Pull Ups, 1500m Run).

Notes

Rule 10(a)(ii) of Part II KS & SSR is applicable.
Preferential: Diploma in Computer Application.
Home Guard Volunteers with 3 years tenure and Fire Fighting training have preferential qualification.
Selected candidates must execute a bond of Rs 50,000 to serve for 7 years.
Training includes 6 months at State Fire Service Training School and 6 months at a Fire station.
