The Kerala Public Service Commission (KPSC) has announced that they are inviting applications for the post of Assistant Engineer (Mechanical) in Irrigation exam on under category no 541/2025. Candidates who are interested in working as an Assistant Engineer (Mechanical) in the state of Kerala with a pay scale of ₹ 55,200 – 1,15,300/-, can now apply for the exam through the official KPSC website. The last date of application will be 14-01-2026.

Age Limit

20-40; Only candidates born between 02/01/1985 and 01/01/2005 (both dates included) are eligible. Usual age relaxation will be given to Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward communities.

Qualifications

B.Sc. Degree in Mechanical Engineering of the Kerala University or its equivalent
OR B.E. Degree in Mechanical Engineering of the Madras University or its equivalent
OR Associate Membership Diploma of the Institution of Engineers (India) in Mechanical Engineering or any other qualifications recognised as equivalent to a degree
OR Pass in Section A & B of the Associate Membership Examination of the Institution of Engineers (India) in Mechanical Engineering
OR Any other qualification recognised by the Government as equivalent to B.Sc. Degree in Mechanical Engineering of the Kerala University

Notes

The ranked list shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year and up to three years, subject to publication of a new list.
Persons appointed shall be liable to serve for a minimum period of 4 years in the Defence Service or related assignment if required, subject to conditions.
4% of the total vacancies reported shall be reserved for eligible Differently Abled Candidates as specified vide G.O.(P) No. 5/2023/SJD dated 01.10.2023.
Rule 10(a)(ii) of Part II of KS&SSR is applicable.
Equivalent/higher qualifications recognized by Government orders or accepted by the Commission will also be considered.
Candidates claiming equivalent/higher qualification must produce the relevant Government orders or equivalency certificates at the time of verification.
Probation: Two years on duty within a continuous period of three years.
