The Kerala Public Service Commission (KPSC) has announced that they are inviting applications for the post of Workshop Instructor/Demonstrator/Instructor Gr.II/Draftsman Gr.II in Electrical Engineering in Technical Education exam on under category no 048/2026. Age Limit

18-40; Only candidates born between 02.01.1986 and 01.01.2008 (both dates included) are eligible. Other Backward Communities and SC/ST candidates are eligible for usual age relaxation. Officers of the Technical Education Department are eligible for additional age relaxation equivalent to their service in the Department, subject to a maximum of 10 years over and above the general relaxation; in such cases, the maximum age shall not exceed 50 years as on 01.01.2026.

Qualifications

Diploma in the appropriate branch of Engineering/Technology awarded by a University/Government after undergoing a regular course of study for not less than three years
Equivalent qualification to the prescribed Diploma qualification, subject to the conditions specified in the notification

Notes

Rule 10(a)(ii) of Part II of KS & SSR is applicable.
Qualifications recognized by Executive Orders or Standing Orders of Government as equivalent to the prescribed qualification, and higher qualifications that presuppose the prescribed lower qualification, will also be accepted subject to the conditions specified in the notification.
Degrees/Diplomas awarded by UGC-approved Universities or institutions established through an Act of Parliament/State Legislature are acceptable subject to the conditions specified in the notification.
4% of the total vacancies reported shall be reserved for eligible Differently Abled candidates as specified in G.O.(P) No.5/2023/SJD dated 01.10.2023.
The ranked list will remain in force for a minimum period of one year and may continue up to three years, subject to the publication of a new ranked list.
No application fee is required.
If a Written/OMR/Online Test is conducted, candidates must submit confirmation through their One Time Registration profile within the prescribed period.
