The Kerala Public Service Commission (KPSC) has announced that they are inviting applications for the post of Assistant Engineer (Civil) (Direct Recruitment from Departmental candidates of Irrigation Department only.) in Irrigation Department exam on 30-12-2022 under category no 663/2022. Number of vacancies	Anticipated The Ranked list of selected candidates published by the Commission in response to this notification shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year provided that the said list will continue to be in force till the publication of a new list after the expiry of the minimum period of one year or till the expiry of three years whichever is earlier. Candidates will be advised from the said list against the vacancies that may be reported to the Commission during the period of currency of the list.
Method of appointment	Direct Recruitment from Departmental candidates of Irrigation Department only. Note: (i) Direct Recruitment from Overseers /Draftsman, Clerks and Last Grade Servants who have rendered not less than 2 years service in Irrigation Department. (G.O.(P) No. 64-2010-WRD dated 25.09.2010) (ii) In the absence of suitable candidates, the vacancies set apart for Direct Recruitment from Departmental candidates (Open Quota) shall be filled up from the Ranked List prepared for Direct Recruitment. (iii) Candidates working in the above post on provisional basis are not eligible to apply for the post. (iv)Rules of reservation prescribed in Rule 14 to 17 of Part II of Kerala State and Subordinate Service Rules, 1958 is not applicable to this selection
Age Limit	Must have completed 18 years as on 01.01.2022. The upper age limit is not applicable to this selection.
Qualifications	1.(i)Degree in Civil Engineering from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized as equivalent thereto. OR (ii) Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers , India in Civil Engineering. Note : Candidates should produce a Service Certificate (in original) obtained from the Head of Office/Department to prove the length of their service in the respective Category in the concerned Department as and when called for by the Commission.(Form of Service Certificate shall be in the form at given below)
