The Kerala Public Service Commission (KPSC) has announced that they are inviting applications for the post of Assistant Prison Officer in Prisons and Correctional Services exam on 30-10-2025 under category no 420/2025. Candidates who are interested in working as an Assistant Prison Officer in the state of Kerala with a pay scale of ₹ 27,900 – 63,700/-, can now apply for the exam through the official KPSC website. The last date of application will be 03-12-2025.

Age Limit	18-36; Candidates born between 02.01.1989 and 01.01.2007 are eligible (both dates included) with usual relaxation to SC/ST and OBC.
Qualifications	Pass in SSLC or its equivalent qualification Physical Fitness: Minimum 165 cms height (160 cms for SC/ST), Chest minimum 81.3 cms with minimum 5 cms expansion. Visual Standards (without glasses): Distant vision 6/6 Snellen, Near vision 0.5 Snellen (Right and Left eye). Must qualify in any five events out of eight events in the National Physical Efficiency One Star Standard Test (100m Run, High Jump, Long Jump, Shot Put 7.26kg, Cricket ball throw, Rope climbing, Pull ups/Chinning, 1500m Run).
Notes	Rule 10(a)(ii) of Part II of the KS & SSR is applicable. Differently abled candidates and female candidates are not eligible to apply. Probation: Total period of two years on duty within a continuous period of three years. Must undergo in-service training and pass Kerala Jail Subordinate Officers test during probation. Weightage marks are applicable for NCC, Meritorious sports persons, and Student Police Cadet (SPC) certificate holders.
