The Kerala Public Service Commission (KPSC) has announced that they are inviting applications for the post of Civil Excise Officer (Trainee) in Kerala Excise And Prohibition exam on 30-08-2025 under category no 340/2025 - 341/2025. Age Limit	19-34; Candidates born between 02.01.1991 and 01.01.2006 (both dates included). Upper age limit 36 for SC converts to Christianity. Maximum age limit shall not exceed 50 years.
Qualifications	Must have passed the Plus Two Examination or its equivalent Height: Not less than 165 cms; Chest: Not less than 81 cms with minimum expansion of 5 cms Must be certified by a Medical Officer (not below Assistant Surgeon/Junior Consultant rank) as physically fit for active outdoor work Distant Vision: 6/6 Snellen (both eyes); Near Vision: 0.5 Snellen (both eyes) – without spectacles Must be free from physical defects: knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein, bow legs, deformed hands/limbs, irregular/protruding teeth, defective speech and hearing Endurance Test: 2.5 km run within 13 minutes Physical Efficiency Test: Must qualify in any 5 out of 8 events (One Star Standard) – 100m race (14 sec), High Jump (132.20 cm), Long Jump (457.20 cm), Shot Put 7264g (609.60 cm), Cricket Ball Throw (6096 cm), Rope Climbing hands only (365.80 cm), Pull ups/Chinning (8 times), 1500m Run (5 min 44 sec)
Notes	Differently abled candidates and female candidates are not eligible. Preference shall be given to ex-servicemen. NCC ‘A’, ‘B’, ‘C’ Certificate holders get weightage marks of 2%, 3%, 5% respectively. SPC certificate holders will get weightage marks as per GO(Ms)No.06/2025/P&ARD dated 01.03.2025. Candidates already in Government service holding this post in any district are prohibited from applying again. Transfer to another district not permitted within 5 years of service commencement. Appointment to substantive post only after successful completion of basic training (minimum 6 months / 180 working days). Rule 10(a)(ii) of Part II of KS & SSR is applicable.
