The Kerala Public Service Commission (KPSC) has announced that they are inviting applications for the post of High School Teacher (Malayalam) in Education exam on 30-05-2025 under category no 108/2025. Candidates who are interested in working as an High School Teacher (Malayalam) in the state of Kerala with a pay scale of ₹ 41,300-87,000/-, can now apply for the exam through the official KPSC website. The last date of application will be 16-07-2025.

Recruitment by transfer from among the employees who have completed the prescribed service and are working as Clerk/Typist/Attender/Office Attendant/Binder in General Education Department.

Qualifications

1. A Degree in Malayalam or Graduation with Malayalam as one of the optional subjects under pattern II of Part III and B.Ed/BT/LT conferred or recognized by the Universities in Kerala. OR A Title of Oriental Learning in Malayalam awarded by the Universities in Kerala and Certificate in Language Teachers Training issued by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala.
2. Must have passed the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (K-TET, Category III) for this post conducted by the Government of Kerala.
Exemptions: Candidates with CTET/NET/SET/M.Phil/Ph.D in the subject or M.Ed. are exempted from KTET.

Notes

Employees of the General Education Department who entered service before 31.03.2012 and have completed the prescribed period are exempted from KTET.
Postgraduates in Malayalam with B.Ed/BT/LT are also eligible.
B.Ed should be in the concerned language (Malayalam).
