High School Teacher (Physical Science) Tamil Medium – Education – 70/2025, 71/2025

The Kerala Public Service Commission (KPSC) has announced that they are inviting applications for the post of High School Teacher (Physical Science) Tamil Medium in Education exam on 03-05-2025 under category no 70/2025, 71/2025. Candidates who are interested in working as an High School Teacher (Physical Science) Tamil Medium in the state of Kerala with a pay scale of ₹ 41,300-87,000/-, can now apply for the exam through the official KPSC website. The last date of application will be 04-06-2025.

Age Limit	18-43. Only candidates born between 02.01.1982 and 01.01.2007 (both dates included).
Qualifications	A Degree in the concerned subject and BEd/BT in the concerned subject both conferred or recognized by the Universities in Kerala. Must have passed the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (K-TET Category III) for this post conducted by the Government of Kerala. Must have passed SSLC/Plus Two/Pre-Degree with Tamil as I or II Language OR a pass in Degree or Post Graduation in Tamil Language. Candidates with CTET/NET/SET/MPhil/PhD in the respective subjects and MEd in any subject are exempted from acquiring K-TET. Graduation with Physics/Chemistry as main subject and Chemistry/Physics as subsidiary subject OR exemptions applicable till 06.06.2019. Alternative qualifications like BSc Ed in PCM stream (NCERT), BSc (Polymer Chemistry) with Physics subsidiary, Degree in Geology with BEd (Physical Science) are accepted. Knowledge of Tamil is mandatory and will be tested at interview or in written test.
Notes	Selection is district-wise and subject to conditions laid in GO (MS) No 154/71/PD dated 27.05.1971. Ranked list will remain in force until vacancies are filled due to lack of candidates in mother list (Idukki – Ranked list dated 07.09.2018). Applications from communities other than those mentioned (Ezhava/Billava/Thiyya, Dheevara) will be summarily rejected. Candidates already in Government service holding this post cannot apply again but may apply for higher posts. Age concessions are subject to a maximum of 50 years as per General Conditions. Special preferences: Wives of Jawans, First Class Scouts and Guides, Teachers in Government Primary/Nursery Schools.
