The Kerala Public Service Commission (KPSC) has announced that they are inviting applications for the post of Higher Secondary School Teacher - Home Science in Kerala Higher Secondary Education exam on under category no 702/2025. Candidates who are interested in working as an Higher Secondary School Teacher - Home Science in the state of Kerala with a pay scale of ₹ 55,200 - 1,15,300/-, can now apply for the exam through the official KPSC website. Age Limit

20-40; Only candidates born between 02.01.1985 and 01.01.2005 (both dates included) with usual relaxation to SC/ST and OBC candidates. Upper age limit relaxed up to 43 years for qualified Ministerial Staff under Higher Secondary Education Department as on 01.01.2025.

Qualifications

Master’s Degree in the concerned subject (Home Science) with not less than 50% marks from a University in Kerala or equivalent qualification.
B.Ed in the concerned subject acquired after a regular course of study from a University in Kerala or equivalent qualification.
In the absence of B.Ed in concerned subject, B.Ed in concerned faculty or any subject as specified.
Must have passed the State Eligibility Test (SET) for Higher Secondary School Teacher conducted by Government of Kerala or authorized agency.

Notes

Rule 10(a)(ii) of Part II of KS & SSR is applicable.
4% vacancies reserved for differently abled candidates as per G.O(P) No.05/2023/SJD dated 01.10.2023.
Equivalent/higher qualifications recognized by Government orders or accepted by the Commission will be considered.
Degrees/Diplomas awarded by UGC approved Universities or institutions established by Act of Parliament/State Legislature are acceptable.
Weightage marks are awarded for Non-Qualifying Degrees (M.Phil/Ph.D/Post Doctoral Fellowship) as per notification.
SET exemptions applicable for candidates with SLET/NET/JRF/Ph.D/M.Phil/M.Ed and for teachers with 10 years approved High School service as specified.
