The Kerala Public Service Commission (KPSC) has announced that they are inviting applications for the post of Part Time High School Teacher (Sanskrit) in Education exam on 30-08-2025 under category no 291/2025. Candidates who are interested in working as an Part Time High School Teacher (Sanskrit) in the state of Kerala with a pay scale of ₹26,500 – 60,700/-, can now apply for the exam through the official KPSC website. The last date of application will be 03-10-2025.

Age Limit

18-40. Candidates should be born between 02.01.1985 and 01.01.2007 (both dates included). SC/ST candidates and Other Backward Communities are eligible for usual age relaxation. Maximum age limit shall in no case exceed 50 years.

Qualifications

A Degree in Sanskrit and B.Ed/B.T/L.T conferred or recognized by the Universities in Kerala; OR A Title of Oriental Learning in Sanskrit awarded or recognized by the Universities in Kerala along with Certificate in Language Teacher’s Training issued by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala. A Title of Oriental Learning declared equivalent to Part III of Degree shall be accepted in lieu of Degree.
Must have passed Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (K-TET Category III) conducted by the Government of Kerala. Exemption for candidates who have qualified CTET/NET/SET/M.Phil/Ph.D in respective subjects or M.Ed. CTET (Primary stage & Elementary stage) will not be considered against KTET Category III as per G.O.(P)No.6/2024/GEDN dated 01.02.2024.

Notes

Separate Ranked Lists will be prepared for each district (Alappuzha and Wayanad). Candidates shall apply to only one district.
4% of total vacancies reserved for eligible Differently Abled candidates as per G.O.(P) No.13/2024/SJD dated 17.10.2024.
Siksha Sastri Examination of Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan and Kameswar Singh Darbhanga University of Bihar will be treated as equivalent to B.Ed Degree for this post.
Post Graduates in Sanskrit are also eligible provided they have B.Ed/B.T/L.T qualification.
B.Ed should be in the concerned language (Sanskrit).
Rule 10(a)(ii) of Part II of KS & SSR is applicable.
The 5-year service condition for transfer is not applicable for transfer to Idukki, Wayanad, and Kasaragod districts; this concession is granted only once in a career.
Preference given to wives of Jawans, First Class Scouts and Guides, and graduate teachers of Government Primary and Nursery Schools (age limit exemption).
Laboratory Attenders in Departmental High Schools with at least 5 years satisfactory service and prescribed qualifications are exempted from age limit.
Equivalent/higher qualifications approved by Government orders will also be considered.
