The Kerala Public Service Commission (KPSC) has announced that they are inviting applications for the post of Upholsterer in Kerala State Water Transport exam on under category no 053/2026. Age Limit	18-40; Only candidates born between 02.01.1986 and 01.01.2008 (both dates included) are eligible. Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Communities are eligible for usual age relaxation.
Qualifications	Pass in SSLC or its equivalent qualification National Trade Certificate in the trade of Upholstery In the absence of candidates possessing the National Trade Certificate, an Experience Certificate proving three years of experience in Upholstery works issued by a Government/Quasi Government/Public Sector Undertaking or Registered Private Sector Undertaking
Notes	4% of the vacancies reported are reserved for Differently Abled candidates as per G.O.(P) No.13/2024/SJD dated 17.10.2024. Proficiency of the candidate shall be evaluated by a Practical Test conducted by the Kerala Public Service Commission. Rule 10(a)(ii) of Part II of KS & SSR is applicable. Qualifications recognized by Executive Orders or Standing Orders of Government as equivalent to the prescribed qualification, and higher qualifications that presuppose the prescribed lower qualification, will also be accepted subject to the conditions specified in the notification. Candidates claiming experience must produce the prescribed Experience Certificate. The genuineness of the certificate will be scrutinized and legal action may be taken for bogus certificates. The vacancy is currently in existence. The Ranked List will remain in force for a minimum of one year and up to three years, or until a new Ranked List is published after the minimum period, whichever is earlier. No application fee is required. If a Written/OMR/Online Test is conducted, candidates must submit confirmation through their One Time Registration profile within the prescribed period.
