Only candidates born between 02.01.1976 and 01.01.2004 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post.
Qualifications1. Masters Degree in the subject concerned with not less than 50 % marks or its equivalent and good academic record
2. Must have passed a Comprehensive Test in the subject concerned specifically conducted for the purpose by UGC or any agency duly constituted by the state government in this behalf. When qualifications are being equal, preference shall be given to those candidates who possess adequate knowledge in Malayalam.

Edn dated 21.03.1994 EQUIVALENT/HIGHER QUALIFICATION Note:- i) In addition to the qualifications prescribed in the notification, the qualifications recognized by executive orders, or standing orders of Government as equivalent to a qualification specified for the post, in the Special Rules or qualifications found acceptable by the Commission in cases where acceptance of equivalent qualifications is provided for in the Rules and such of those qualifications which pre-suppose the acquisition of the lower qualification prescribed for the post, shall also be sufficient for the post. The copy of the Government orders declaring equivalent/higher qualifications shall be produced as and when required by the Commission.
ii) Candidates who have acquired non-qualifying degrees viz .M.Phil/Ph.D/Post Doctoral Fellowship will be awarded weightage marks provided that such non-qualifying degrees shall be in the subjects pertaining to the basic qualification stipulated for the post. Weightage marks for Non-qualifying degrees for ranking will be awarded as detailed below.
Non-Qualifying M.Phil - 2 Marks Non - Qualifying Ph.D - 4 Marks Both M.Phil & Ph.D (Non-Qualifying) - 5 Marks Post Doctoral Fellowship - 2 Marks
(iii) Non-Qualifying degree means the additional qualifications which are earned apart from the qualifications insisted on as essential qualifications for the post. If M.Phil/Ph.D/Post Doctoral Fellowship is reckoned as the essential qualification for the post, weightage marks will not be awarded for it. Weightage marks will be awarded only to those non-qualifying degrees which are claimed in the application in the weightage details and declaration links and which are acquired on or before the

The Ranked list published as per this notification will be valid until candidates are advised and appointed against the vacancies earmarked for the above mentioned community but remains unfilled due to the paucity of candidates during the currency of the Ranked list published on 10.07.2006 for the post (Gazette Date:17.02.2004, Category No.29/2004).This is the sixth NCA notification for the post owing to the non availability of qualified candidates belonging to the above community as per the following notifications.
