| Qualifications | (1) Educational Qualifications: Must have passed the Plus Two Examination or its equivalent. LINK EQUIVALENT/HIGHER QUALIFICATIONS Note: i) Rule 10(a)(ii) of Part II of KS & SSR is applicable. ii) In addition to the qualification prescribed in the notification, the qualifications recognized by executive orders or standing orders of Government as equivalent to a qualification specified for a post and such of those qualifications which presuppose the acquisition of the lower qualifications prescribed for the post shall also be sufficient for the post. The Government orders declaring equivalent/ higher qualification shall be produced as and when called for by the commission. (2) Physical Qualifications: Candidates must not be less than 165 cms in height and 81cms round the chest with a minimum expansion of 5 cms . (3) Physique and Eye sight: (i) Must be certified by a Medical Officer not below the rank of an Assistant Surgeon/Junior consultant as to his physical fitness and capacity for active outdoor work. The Medical Certificate has to be produced as and when called for. (ii) Must be certified to possess the visual standards specified below without spectacles Vision Right Eye Left Eye (a) Distant Vision 6/6 Snellen 6/6 Snellen (b) Near Vision 0.5 Snellen 0.5 Snellen Note:- Each eye must have full field of vision. Colour blindness, squint or any other morbid condition of the eyes or lids of either eye will be deemed to be a disqualification. (iii) Medical Certificate from a Medical Officer not below the rank of an Assistant Surgeon/Junior Consultant should be produced at the time of Physical Efficiency Test/Endurance Test and should be uploaded in their Profile at the time of Certificate Verification. The Ranked list published as per this notification shall remain in force until candidates are advised and appointed against the vacancies earmarked for the above communities, but remain unfilled due to paucity of candidates during the currency of Mother Ranked List published for the post .This is the first NCA notification due to the non availability of qualified candidates in the above mentioned communities from the mother ranked list published for the post. (v) The selection in pursuance of this notification will be made on a revenue district basis, subject to the special conditions laid down in G.O (Ms) No. 154/1971/PD dated 27.05.1971. A candidate advised for appointment in one Revenue District from the Ranked List prepared is not eligible for transfer to another district unless he completes 5 years continuous service from the date of commencement of service in the former district. Even if transfer is allowed after five years, it will be subject to the rules in G.O(MS) No.4/61/PD dated 02.01.1961. Candidates already in Government service holding this post in any one district are prohibited from applying again for this post, but they can apply to higher posts when notified. (vi) In the case of the candidates applying for District wise selection in Kasaragod, Idukki & Wayanad districts, working arrangement, deputation, transfer and mutual transfer will not be allowed for atleast 10 years, if they are appointed from the ranked list of those districts. Their promotion will also be limited to those districts ( As per GO (MS) No. 06/2026/P&ARD dated 22.01.2026). (vii) Preferences shall be given to ex-servicemen. (viii) 1. NCC Certificate holders having ‘A’, ‘B’ and ‘C’ categories will be given weightage marks at the rate of 2% , 3% and 5% respectively as per G.O (MS)No.112/2007/H. Edn. Dated 21.08.2007. 2.
