| Notes | i) The above Vacancies are now in existence. A Ranked List will be prepared for Idukki district in pursuance of this notification. The Ranked List thus prepared and published by the Commission in response to this notification shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year provided that the said list will continue to be in force till the publication of a new list after the expiry of the minimum period of one year or till the expiry of three years whichever is earlier. Recruitment will be made for the above vacancies and also for the vacancies reported for Special Recruitment from Scheduled castes/Scheduled Tribes during the currency of the list. Candidates shall also be advised from this list against vacancies reported exclusively for Scheduled Tribes and only in the absence of Scheduled Tribe candidates in this list fresh notification for Scheduled Tribes will be issued for vacancies reserved exclusively for them. ii) The selection in pursuance of this notification will be made on a revenue district basis, subject to the special conditions laid down in G.O. (MS) No. 154/71/PD dated 27.05.1971. In the case of candidates applying for district wise selections in Idukki district, Working Arrangement, Deputation, Transfer and Mutual Transfer will not be allowed for at least ten years, if they are appointed from the rank lists of Idukki district. Their promotion will also be limited to Idukki district (GO(Ms) No. 6/2026/P&ARD dated 22.01.2026). Candidates already in Government service, holding the post in any one district are restricted from applying for the same post in another district. But they can apply for higher posts when notified. iii) Candidates will be advised from the ranked list for appointment against the Headquarters vacancies also. Vacancies arising in the Head Quarters will be filled up according to the terms and conditions of G.O.(MS)No. 154/71/PD dated 27/05/1971 commencing from Thiruvananthapuram District. Separate option need not be given for this. In the absence of qualified candidates within the age limit the upper age limit shall be relaxed upto 50 years. But in no case the maximum age limit shall exceed 50 (fifty) years. Those who have passed the KGTE Typewriting before January 2002, should possess separate certificate in “Computer Word Processing or its equivalent at the time of application”.
