| Qualifications | Pass in Plus Two or its equivalent. Preferential: Diploma in Computer Application Physical Standard: Height (bare foot) 152 cms (150 cms for SC/ST candidates). Proficiency in swimming: (i) 50 M swimming trial within 2 minutes 15 seconds. (ii) Two minutes floating ability at the deeper side of the swimming pool. Visual Standards (without glasses): Distant vision 6/6 snellen, Near vision 0.5 snellen, Field of vision: Full. Must pass Physical Efficiency Test (qualifying in at least 5 out of 8 specified items). |
| Notes | Men and Differently Abled candidates are not eligible to apply. Rule 10(a) (ii) of Part II of KS&SSR is applicable. Equivalent/higher qualifications as per government orders will also be considered. Candidates must execute a bond to serve for a minimum period of 7 years and to pay Rs. 50,000/- in case of failure to serve. Weightage marks for NCC Cadets, meritorious sports persons, and Students Police Cadet (SPC) certificate holders. The probation period is two years on duty within a continuous period of three years. |
