Must have proficiency in swimming: (i) 50 m swimming trial to be completed within two minutes 15 seconds. (ii) Two minutes floating ability at the deeper side of the swimming pool. Visual Standards without glasses: Distant vision 6/6 snellen, Near vision 0.5 snellen (Right and Left eye), Field of Vision Full. |
| Notes | Rule 10 (a) (ii) of Part II KS&SSR is applicable. Differently abled candidates and male candidates are not eligible to apply. Candidates must qualify in at least 5 out of 8 items in the physical efficiency test of National One Star standard. Selected candidates shall execute a bond to serve in the force for a minimum period of 7 years after completion of training. Probation: Two years on duty within a continuous period of three years. Training: 6 months in State Fire Service Training School followed by 6 months practical training at a Fire Station. |
