Candidates who are interested in working as an Station Officer (Trainee) in the state of Kerala with a pay scale of ₹43,400-91,200/-, can now apply for the exam through the official KPSC website. The last date of application will be 05-08-2026.

| Notes | Differently Abled and female candidates are not eligible to apply. KS & SSR Part II Rule 10(a)(ii) is applicable. Equivalent qualifications recognized by Government orders and higher qualifications that presuppose the prescribed qualification will also be accepted subject to the conditions in the notification. A good record in Sports and Games is a preferential qualification. NCC Cadets with ‘A’, ‘B’ and ‘C’ Certificates receive 2%, 3% and 5% weightage marks respectively. Students Police Cadet (SPC) certificate holders receive weightage marks as prescribed by Government Order. Meritorious sports persons may receive additional marks as per the General Conditions. The Physical Efficiency Test consists of 100 metres race, high jump, long jump, putting the shot, throwing the cricket ball, rope climbing, pull-up/chinning and 1500 metres race. A candidate appointed by direct recruitment must execute a bond to serve in the Fire & Rescue Services Department for 7 years. Probation is two years on duty within a continuous period of three years. During probation, the appointee must pass the Departmental Test in Kerala Fire Force Standing Orders and Practice, St. John’s Ambulance Examination in First Aid, and Account Test (Lower), unless already passed. Initial training at the State Fire Service Training School, National Fire Service College, Nagpur, or another recognized Fire Service institution is required if not already completed. After initial training, six months of practical training under a fully trained Assistant Divisional Officer/Station Officer is required before independent posting. No application fee is required. The ranked list will cease to be in force after one year from the date of finalization. |
