The Kerala Public Service Commission (KPSC) has announced that they are inviting applications for the post of Assistant Engineer (Civil) in Public Works Department exam on 31-07-2025 under category no 180/2025. 21-40; Only candidates born between 02.01.1985 and 01.01.2004 (both dates included) with usual relaxation to Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward communities.

Qualifications

B.Sc/B.Tech Degree in Engineering (Civil) of the Kerala University or B.E Degree (Civil) of the Madras University or any other qualification recognized as equivalent thereto
Associate Membership of the Institution of engineers, India, in Civil Engineering or any other Diploma recognized as equivalent thereto
Pass in sections ‘A’ and ‘B’ of the Associate Membership Examinations of the Institution of Engineers, India, in Civil Engineering

Notes

Rule 10 a (ii) of part II of KS&SSR is applicable.
Equivalent/higher qualifications approved by Government orders will also be considered.
4% of the total vacancies reported shall be reserved for eligible Differently Abled Candidates.
Liability to serve in the Defence service: Persons appointed shall be liable to serve for a minimum period of 4 years within the first 10 years of service.
