The Kerala Public Service Commission (KPSC) has announced that they are inviting applications for the post of Assistant Surgeon/Casualty Medical Officer in Health Services Department exam on under category no 34/2026. Age Limit

18-50; Only candidates born between 02.01.1976 and 01.01.2008 (both dates included) are eligible. No other age relaxation is allowed.

Qualifications

Degree in Modern Medicine (MBBS) or equivalent qualification
Valid registration with Travancore-Cochin Medical Council

Notes

Applications are invited only from Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates of Kerala State.
Applications from candidates other than SC/ST will be rejected.
Candidates appointed shall serve for four years during the first ten years of service (including training period) anywhere in India or abroad under Defence Services or services connected with Defence if required.
Candidates above 45 years of age and differently abled candidates are exempted from compulsory military service.
Rule 10(a)(ii) of Part II KS & SSR is applicable.
Equivalent and higher qualifications recognized by Government orders shall also be accepted.
Special reservation provisions for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes under relevant Government Orders and KS & SSR rules are applicable.
The ranked list will remain in force for a minimum of one year and a maximum of three years.
