The Kerala Public Service Commission (KPSC) has announced that they are inviting applications for the post of Child Development Project Officer in Women and Child Development Department exam on under category no 25/2026. Candidates who are interested in working as an Child Development Project Officer in the state of Kerala with a pay scale of ₹ 50,200 - 1,05,300/-, can now apply for the exam through the official KPSC website. The last date of application will be 01-07-2026.

Age Limit

25-45; Only female candidates born between 02.01.1981 and 01.01.2001 (both dates included) are eligible. Usual relaxation applicable to SC/ST and OBC candidates.

Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Home Science, Social Work, Sociology or Psychology from a recognized University
Preferential Qualification: Post Graduate Diploma in Social Work recognized by the Government of India or Government of Kerala

Notes

The post is reserved exclusively for women.
4% of vacancies are reserved for eligible Differently Abled candidates as per GO(P) No.5/2023/SJD dated 01.10.2023 and GO(P) No.11/2025/SJD dated 15.08.2025.
Candidates appointed through direct recruitment shall undergo three months training prescribed by the Director of Women and Child Development.
Training period will count for all service benefits.
Probation: Two years on duty within a continuous period of three years.
During probation, candidates must pass Account Test (Lower) or Account Test for Executive Officers and Manual of Office Procedure Test if not already passed.
Rule 10(a)(ii) of Part II KS & SSR is applicable.
Equivalent and higher qualifications recognized by Government orders shall also be accepted.
