The Kerala Public Service Commission (KPSC) has announced that they are inviting applications for the post of Female Assistant Prison Officer in Prisons and Correctional Services exam on 15-09-2025 under category no 360/2025. Candidates who are interested in working as an Female Assistant Prison Officer in the state of Kerala with a pay scale of ₹ 27,900 – 63,700/-, can now apply for the exam through the official KPSC website. The last date of application will be 15-10-2025.

Age Limit

18-36; Candidates born between 2.1.1989 and 1.1.2007 (both dates included) with usual relaxation to OBC and SC/ST candidates. In no case shall the maximum age limit exceed 50 years.

Qualifications

Pass in SSLC or its equivalent qualification
Physical Fitness: Minimum 150 cm height (applicable for SC/ST also)
Eye sight without glasses: Distant Vision 6/6 Snellen, Near Vision 0.5 Snellen (Right and Left eye)
Must qualify in any five events out of the eight events of the National Physical Efficiency One Star Standard Test (100m Run, High Jump, Long Jump, Shot Put (4kg), 200m Run, Throwing the throw ball, Shuttle Race, Skipping)

Notes

Differently abled candidates and male candidates are not eligible to apply for the post.
Rule 10(a)(ii) of Part II of the KS & SSR is applicable.
Probation: Two years on duty within a continuous period of three years.
Candidates must undergo in-service training and pass Kerala Jail Subordinate Officers test during probation.
NCC ‘A’, ‘B’ & ‘C’ certificate holders will be given weightage marks at the rate of 2%, 3% and 5% respectively.
Weightage marks are also available for meritorious sports persons and Student Police Cadet (SPC) certificate holders.
