| Qualifications | Pass in Plus Two Examination conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary Education, Government of Kerala or equivalent. Physical Standards (Male): Height - 168 cms (160 for SC/ST), Chest - 81 cms with 5 cm expansion. Physical Standards (Female): Height - 157 cms (150 for SC/ST). Must pass Physical Efficiency Test (qualifying in at least 5 out of 8/9 specified events) and Endurance Test (2 km run). Medical Standards: Perfect hearing and vision (Distant: 6/6 Snellen, Near: 0.5 Snellen) without glasses. |
| Notes | Rule 10(a)ii of Part II of KS&SSR is applicable. Differently Abled candidates are not eligible to apply for the post. Separate ranked lists will be prepared for each District. Candidates appointed by transfer shall undergo training for one year in a forest training school. Probation: Two years on duty within a continuous period of three years. |
