| Qualifications | Must have passed Higher Secondary Examination or its equivalent. Must have minimum one year experience in playing Band, Bugle, Drum and allied musical instruments of Police Band Unit from a Firm/Institution/Band Troop having registration under State/Central Government. Physical standards: Height minimum 168 cm (161 cm for SC/ST); Chest minimum 81 cm with minimum expansion of 5 cm. Must qualify in any 5 events out of the 8 items of the national physical efficiency one star standard test. Visual standards: Distant vision 6/6 Snellen, Near vision 0.5 Snellen (Right and Left eye). |
| Notes | Differently abled candidates and female candidates are not eligible to apply. Rule 10 (a) (ii) of Part II of the KS&SSR is applicable. Qualified candidates shall be required to pass a proficiency test prior to appointment. Selected candidates must execute a bond to serve the State Government for a specific period. |
