The Kerala Public Service Commission (KPSC) has announced that they are inviting applications for the post of Geological Assistant in Land Use Department exam on under category no 046/2026. Candidates who are interested in working as an Geological Assistant in the state of Kerala with a pay scale of ₹43,400-91,200/-, can now apply for the exam through the official KPSC website. The last date of application will be 05-08-2026.

Age Limit

18-40; Only candidates born between 02.01.1986 and 01.01.2008 (both dates included) are eligible. SC/ST and Other Backward Communities are eligible for usual age relaxation.

Qualifications

Post Graduate Degree in Geology / Marine Geology or its equivalent from a UGC recognized University
Post Graduate Degree in Geology / Marine Geology or its equivalent from a National Institute established by the Government of India
Post Graduate Degree in Geology / Marine Geology or its equivalent from an Institution established by the Government of Kerala

Notes

Rule 10(a)(ii) of Part II of KS & SSR is applicable.
Qualifications recognized by Executive Orders or Standing Orders of Government as equivalent to the prescribed qualification will also be accepted.
Higher qualifications that presuppose acquisition of the prescribed lower qualification will also be accepted.
Candidates claiming equivalent or higher qualifications must produce the relevant Government Order when required by the Commission.
Every person appointed to the post shall be on probation for a total period of two years on duty within a continuous period of three years.
During the probation period, the appointee must pass the Manual of Office Procedure and Account Test (Lower or Higher), unless already passed.
No application fee is required.
The ranked list will remain in force for a minimum of one year and up to a maximum of three years, subject to the conditions specified in the notification.
